1. Glass
Meaning: a small container for drinks made of glass or similar material, with a flat base and usually with no handle
French: verre

2. Jar
Meaning: a broad-mouthed container, usually cylindrical and of glass or earthenware

3. Cutlery
Meaning: utensils, as knives, forks, and spoons, used at the table for serving and eating food
French: couverts
Exemple: She removed new cutlery for the guests. (Elle a enlevé de nouveaux couverts pour les invités.)
4. Tray:
Meaning: a flat, shallow container or receptacle made of wood, metal, etc., usually with slightly raised edges, used for carrying, holding, or displaying articles of food, glass, china, etc.
French: plateau
Exemple: Can you pass me the tray please? (Pouvez-vous me passer le plateau s’il vous plaît?)
5. Bowl:
Meaning: a rather deep, round dish or basin, used chiefly for holding liquids, food, etc
French: bol
Exemple: She made me a bowl of soup when I was ill. (Elle m’a fait un bol de soupe quand j’étais malade.)
6. Plate:
Meaning: a shallow, usually circular dish, often of earthenware or porcelain, from which food is eaten
French: assiette
Exemple: Remove the rice in the plate please. (Retirez le riz de l’assiette s’il vous plaît.)
7. Grater:
Meaning: any of various kitchen devices for grating food
French: râpe
Exemple: She used the grater to grate the cheese for the pizza. (Elle a utilisé la râpe pour râper le fromage pour la pizza.)
8. Spatula:
Meaning: an implement with a broad, flat, usually flexible blade, used for blending foods or removing them from cooking utensils, mixing drugs, spreading plasters and paints, etc

Exemple: You should coat a cake evenly with buttercream frosting using a flat spatula. (Vous devez enrober un gâteau uniformément de glaçage à la crème au beurre à l’aide d’une spatule plate.)
9. Rolling Pin:
Meaning: a cylinder of wood or other material, usually with a short handle at each end, for rolling out dough.
French: rouleau à pâtisserie
Exemple: I can never make bread from a rolling pin. (Je ne peux jamais faire du pain avec un rouleau à pâtisserie.)
10. Saucepan:
Meaning: a large, shallow dish, usually elliptical in shape, for holding and serving food, especially meat or fish
French: casserole
Exemple: She made pasta in the saucepan. (Elle a fait des pâtes dans la casserole.)
11. Cutting board :
Meaning: a board used as a firm surface for cutting food
French: planche à découper
Exemple: He is used to cutting vegetables on a cutting board. (Il a l’habitude de couper des légumes sur une planche à découper.)
12. Juicer:
Meaning: a kitchen appliance for extracting juice from fruits and vegetables
French: presse-agrumes
Exemple: Do you know how to use a juicer? (Savez-vous comment utiliser un presse-agrumes?)
13. Measuring cup:
Meaning: a graduated cup used especially in cooking for measuring ingredients.
French: tasse à mesurer
Exemple: She used a measuring cup to measure the amount of milk required for the cake. (Elle a utilisé une tasse à mesurer pour mesurer la quantité de lait nécessaire pour le gâteau.)
14. Frying Pan:
Meaning: a shallow, long-handled pan in which food is fried.
French: poêle à frire

15. Whisk:
Meaning: a utensil for whipping eggs or cream
French: Fouet
Exemple: She whipped the cream with a whisk. (Elle a fouetté la crème avec un fouet.)
