Sally: Hey, have you seen any good movies lately?(Salut, as-tu vu des bons films récemment ?)
Malcolm: Yeah, I just watched this new drama film that came out last week. It was really intense and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. (Ouais, j’ai regardé un nouveau film de drame qui est sorti la semaine dernière. C’était vraiment intense, j’étais sur le bord de ma chaise tout le temps.)
Sally: Oh, I love a good drama film. What was it about? (Oh, j’aime vraiment les films de drame. De quoi parlait-il ?)
Malcolm: It was about a character who was struggling with addiction and the impact it had on his relationships and career. It was really well-written and the acting was superb. (C’était l’histoire d’un personnage qui luttait contre une addiction et l’impact qu’elle avait sur ses relations et sa carrière. C’était vraiment bien écrit et les acteurs étaient excellents.)
Sally: That sounds like a heavy topic, but I’m sure it was done justice with a great script. (Cela a l’air d’un sujet lourd, mais j’imagine que c’était bien traité avec un bon scénario.)

Sally: Oh, I love a good action film. What’s it about? (Oh, j’aime vraiment les films d’action. De quoi parle-t-il ?)
Malcolm: It’s about a group of friends who get embroiled in a high-stakes heist. There’s lots of action and thrills, and it’s supposed to have a great plot. (C’est l’histoire d’un groupe d’amis qui se retrouvent impliqués dans un braquage à haut risque. Il y a beaucoup d’action et de suspense, et il a l’air d’avoir un bon scénario.)

Sally: I couldn’t agree more. The film industry is constantly evolving and there’s always something new and exciting to watch. ( Je suis tout à fait d’accord. L’industrie cinématographique évolue constamment et il y a toujours quelque chose de nouveau et passionnant à regarder.)
Malcolm: So, what’s your favorite movie genre? (Alors, quel est ton genre de film préféré ?)
Sally: I have a few favorites, but I think I’m most drawn to thrillers and mysteries. I love trying to solve the puzzle and figure out what’s going to happen next. (J’en ai quelques-uns, mais je crois que je suis le plus attiré par les thrillers et les mystères. J’aime essayer de résoudre l’énigme et de deviner ce qui va se passer ensuite.)
Malcolm: Yeah, those genres can be really addictive. I’m more of a fan of sci-fi and fantasy films. The special effects and imagination in those films are always so impressive. (Oui, ces genres peuvent être vraiment addictifs. Moi, je préfère les films de science-fiction et de fantasy. Les effets spéciaux et l’imagination dans ces films sont toujours impressionnants.)
Sally: Have you ever thought about making your own movie? ( As-tu déjà pensé à faire ton propre film ?)
Malcolm: I have, but I don’t think I have the skills or resources to do it. Plus, writing a script is a lot of work. (Oui, j’y ai pensé, mais je ne crois pas avoir les compétences ni les ressources pour le faire. En plus, écrire un scénario demande beaucoup de travail.)
Sally: It is a lot of work, but it can be really rewarding. And there are so many resources and tools available now to help independent filmmakers make their own movies. ( C’est vrai, c’est beaucoup de travail, mais cela peut être très gratifiant. Et il y a tellement de ressources et d’outils disponibles maintenant pour aider les cinéastes indépendants à faire leurs propres films.)
Malcolm: That’s true. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try. (C’est vrai. Peut-être qu’un jour je vais essayer.)
Sally: Definitely, you never know, you might just surprise yourself and create a great film. (Assurément, on ne sait jamais, tu pourrais te surprendre toi-même et créer un grand film.)
